Primecorp’s Retail Leasing Team is Making All the Right Connections

It seems like every time you watch the news or pick up a newspaper there’s news to be had about retail. The shifting focus of customers, the changing retail environment, and the economic tightrope walk have made it more important than ever for retailers to make sure they’re choosing the right locations and for landlords to ensure they’re getting the right tenants.

Primecorp’s Strategic and Retail Innovative Leasing Programs

It’s a testament to our strategic and innovative leasing programs that more and more local, national and international retailers are choosing Primecorp to select the ideal site. The Primecorp Retail Group is dedicated to assisting clients with the site selection process. We provide advice that extends the capabilities of retailers and enhances their speed to market. Most importantly, we provide the solutions for operations. Our expertise is unparalleled and allows us to contribute timely and insightful information that strengthens the position of any retailer whether they are entering the market for the first time, expanding their market, or consolidating current locations.

Strong Leadership and Valuable Connections Power Our Retail Team

Candice Lerner-Fry joined Primecorp in 2008 and acts as head of the retail leasing division. A member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres), Candice regularly attends retail conferences across Canada where she is known for her market expertise and jaw-dropping designer shoes. In fact, Candice along with Primecorp Commercial Realty’s President and Founding Partner, Nick Pantieras, will be attending the upcoming ICSC conference, January 29-31 in Whistler, B.C. The conference will include over 100 exhibitors, a variety of valuable networking opportunities and high calibre presentations about the latest developments in the retail industry.

Primecorp Attracting Many Big Name Retail Clients

As someone who specializes in leasing for both landlord and tenant representation, Candice has worked on hundreds of retail transactions and is skilled at deftly navigating these important relationships to the benefit of all involved. As a result of Candice’s retail real estate prowess and the support of her team, several big name clients have chosen Primecorp to represent them. Currently, Candice represents Starbucks Coffee Canada and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen as their primary broker throughout the majority of Eastern Ontario with geography encompassing the Ottawa Valley and the 401 corridor. Other retailers Candice represents include: Rexall, Bushtakah, Pure Kitchen and Pure Yoga.

Candice and the Retail Team apply the same thorough attention to our representation of landlords as we do for tenants. Who better to find tenants for a landlord than a team who are constantly speaking to and already have strong relationships with a myriad of retailers?

Knowledge is Power in Retail Leasing

Through detailed research collected by our researchers Chris Turvill and Kristen Coulas, the Retail Team cultivates a thorough understanding of an asset’s neighbourhood and uses this information, in combination with our relationship with retailers and our clients’ objectives, to find tenants that complement and enhance a space, rather than just filling it.

The information gathered by our researchers is used to hone our marketing, which is crafted with care and attention to detail by the Retail Group’s design whiz, Jaclyn Bates, ensuring that our information is displayed as attractively as possible and the benefits of your asset are clear.

The entire team stays abreast of all the most recent news in Canadian Retail, giving us the edge when we make calls to retailers, send out our marketing, and speak with prospective tenants face-to-face. It is through these efforts, and Candice’s notoriously savvy rental negotiations, that we are able get landlords the rental rates and tenants they need.
